HID light distributor in Canada?
I want to put HID lights in my truck, both headlight and fog. I have noticed that DDM Tuning seems to the popular choice after reading several threads. Their prices are good however shipping to Canada is killer. Does anyone know of a distributor in Canada that sells quality HID lights?

Look for what you want on eBay then email the seller and ask if they will identify the lights as "warranty replacement - $0.00 value". You would be surprised how many sellers will say ok! I bought an exhaust system from the States and the seller put the value at less than HALF the real value on the customs slip!!! one time I purchased a five foot square FRAMED print and the seller put the value at the cost of the print, $12.00, when the real price was close to $300.00!!!!! My mistake was I ordered three more when I saw what the seller would do for me and then I got Canada Customs demanding proof of exactly what the prints were!! They were threatening to take legal action if I did not produce documentation. End of story they could not prove that the prints were high value as I would not give them my order paperwork. Stupid friggin a-holes think they can scare people into saying "YES I DID IT".

Ebay has a HID seller that does free local pickup in Edmonton or mails Canada Post.
I still went with Retro-solution, still don't have the kit in so I cannot comment on how good it is. $50 USPS shipping that was 3-6 business days, got it in 4. You could save $20 and most likely get it in 2 weeks. Customs sometimes gets me on GST and a $5 handling fee on the express posted items but not always. |
