i have the Kenwood DNX 7100, dvd, navigation, back up camera, video output, satellite radio ready, touch screen navigation. On the newer pioneers i have heard bypassing the system to watch while driving requires much more work. If you have an iPod, they the Kenwood is perfect for you. The adapter is $40, and you leave it in your glove box, it charges it for you and you never have to take it out. All controls are made through the screen. I have had it for over a month and love it. As for getting your steering wheel controls to work, is you have them, there is a remote control steering wheel interface for about $60. AUTOTOYS - STEERING WHEEL INTERFACES hope this helps |

If anyone is interested in the Pioneer units I recommend going to AVIC411.com Not the friendliest bunch of guys - at all - but they do have a ton of great info. Backgrounds, info on making them, installing them, bypass' - heck everything. |

im hoping my tax refund pays for my lift kit... i do not disagree with you on the AVIC unit, when i was researching it the newest models had a gyro inside them. there was a way to bypass the gyro but you do void the warranty in doing so. I also found out that if you can get a previous version of the AVIC software and download that, it will work. And i am only going off of what i have read. However whichever is the most wallet friendly I am a big fan of. Im kind of wondering if i need to have a few kids to get some more tax money back... i think the girlfriend might think otherwise... ![]()
