Remote start.

My 04 had the ford silver keyless entry and remote start system. I would push the blue button on my remote and truck would start. Yesterday i had the gold system installed and cant get the remote start to work. Did some research and it is apparently a two button procedure but cant find out what to buttons? anyone know?

Don't know if the fords work the same as others but some use lock and unlock.

I have factory remote start on my 04 and I have to press the "lock"(looking at remote, top/left) then press the start button(looking at remote, bottom/right) when I press the lock button the park lights flash twice, then I press the start button and the park lights flash once along with a vrey short horn sound, then about 10-15 seconds later she fires right up. Hope this helps, oh btw, my remote has four square rubber type buttons in a square pattern.

On the factory gold system on my truck, I've always just pressed and held the blue button on the remote until the horn chirps(approx. 2-3 seconds) for the remote start.
