Remote start?

While doing the DIY High Idle mod and the ensuing crawling around under the dash, I found this:




I've searched on the part numbers, but I can't come to any definitive answer. When I got the truck last February, I only received one key fob and it doesn't have the option for the remote start but I was wondering if maybe, just maybe the truck was equipped with it.

Also, when the alarm does sound for whatever reason, it's not like a normal car alarm, horn honking sound. It almost sounds like the horn is dieing as it a really short repeating horn sound. Kind of hard for me to describe.

Also, just to the left of the pictures, you can't see it, there is a small speaker that is zip tied up as well, but when the alarm is going off it does not make any sound. Any ideas?

I just bought a 2005 and has one installed, set the alarm off by mistake....would like to know more about it as well.

I think it is the dealer installed alarm system, ignition disabler. Made by code alarm. It is not a remote start.

Thanks, I will try finding the instructions online, I don't have the fobs that came with the system.
