Speakers! 06!

Hey there! I just ordered a new head unit and now I am going to upgrade speakers.

So I need to switch my 6X8/5X7 fronts to 6.5" speakers for sound. Anyone have any suggestions (fitment).

Thanks!

A lot of places sell adapters that convert 6x8 into other sizes. Here is a set on Crutchfield's website, granted these are for 5 1/4" but I'm sure you can find some others:

Universal 6"x8" to 5-1/4" Bracket Speaker adapter plates at Crutchfield.com

I have Alpine Type R's in my doors and they fit just fine. They are fairly deep as well.

And I'm dumb. After I made the post I thought that you were asking for speaker reccomendations but it was too late.

Everything went in this weekend! Sounds MUCH MUCH cleaner and the head unit rocks! It has a USB port on it so I can just put my music thumb drive right into my radio.

Now I think I need a small sub. WISH they made a SINGLE 10" box for under my extned cab rear seat.
