Headlights on radio goes off???

Just installed a knock off brand DVD/Navi unit in a 2003. When I turn the headlights on the radion turns off. I was told that this was the wire that tells the radio when not to display a DVD while not in park.

How can I bypass so that the movie plays in the dash and is this my problem. If so do you ground the wire or put on +? What color wires should I be looking for. I believe I remember it to be pink....
