Help with finding trailer fuses

I just recently bought a trailer yesterday and I hooked up to it and come to find out none of the lights work when I mash the brake pedal or turning signals. First thing I did was got another vehicle to try it to make sure it wasn't the trailer. The lights successfully worked on the other vehicle so I know its mine. Can anybody walk me through on how to pinpoint the fuse that powers the trailer lights and how to determine which is bad? Do I need to go under the steering wheel or go under the hood? Trying to plan an atv trip Saturday so any quick help would be appreciated. Oh and I am using the 4 tip plug not the circle.
