Thoughts??...4 - Kicker L5 8" subs

I drafted up a box for 4 Kicker 8" L5 subs. I figured they will see about .45 cubic feet of airspace. (minimum airspace for each sub is .33 & max is .75)

Question is will these subs play low & figuring that there will be 4 of them it
should have pretty good SPL.

To give a little background I will have 2 Alpine 600 watt amps powering the 4 subs.

Anyone had any experience with a set-up like this?
Thanks all!!!

i think putting the subs in that small of a box and having four of them is a waste of money. i had a L7 12" that i made a custom box to a little bit bigger than the minimum airspace and it sounded like poo. then i put it in a ported box in my friends car and it pounds. so then i sold the 12 and bought a 10" L5 in a kicker ported box and it pounds in my truck. personally i would do ONE in the BIGGEST ported box you can fit in there and you will have a lot more bump at a 1/4 of the price rather than buying 4. i can get a vid of mine if you want. i have a power acoustic Class D mono amp 2000 watts running at 2 Ohms

Is your box ported? I have the same sub. It sounds ok but I figured it would hit a little harder.

That is exactly what I was debating too. I was thinking instead of the 4 - 8" kicker L5's sealed.....I'd do 2 - 8" kicker l5's in a ported box. (roughly 1.0 cubic feet each)

i took the video but the bass was too loud and you cant hear it and the camera didn't even pick up all the flex. i will try to get you a better video maybe this weekend if your still interested but with the little airspace, like in truck whether is regular cab or crew cab, they will never sound as good as in a car or suv.

Well after looking at your box and the port, I don't know where I'm going to be able to put in 2" height x 9.5” wide x 21.25” long ports???

I've ran (2) 12" Kicker L7's on a Memphis PR.1000, and I currently have a 12" Cerwin vega in a ported box, pushed by a Sundown SAE.1000D.

If I had it to do over, I would have went with 8's myself. The Kicker L5's arent bad, but Sundown and Digital Designs subs are better. You can get them around the same price too.

Here's my holding a DD 8". Look at the motor on this thing..

Compared to an 8" L5..
