Speaker help

I have the Kenwood DNX7100 - Navigation system with DVD player, LCD monitor and radio. The stock speaker absolutely sound terrible at 1/2 volume & above. If I get some fairly inexpensive after market speakers will it sound any better? If so, any recommendations that will fit in the stock space. thx

I have always had luck with reasonable priced speakers over stock. I am in the same boat with an upgraded head, but stock speakers. I am thinking up upgrading in the next couple of months.

If you get something let us know what they are.

Rockford Fosgate Power T1682 Full Range Speake 6X8 " - eBay (item 270624812090 end time Aug-30-10 14:35:08 PDT)

I replaced my front door speakers with those and am very happy with them.

Usually you can upgrade your speakers and be alright. BUT, you will never get the full effect of the speakers unless you hook up a good matched amp with them. Then you will have GREAT sound quality. hope this helps.
