Finally Installed My CB

Well I have had the CB sitting around for a few years. It's off another truck I had. I finally got motivated today to start the project. I wanted dual whips on the mirrors because I like that look. I started off by taking the mirrors off and runing the wires thru the fender walls and then thru the stock wire harness. I had to notch out the mirror housing for the wire to come thru. I mounted the Cb to the front of my 08 console. A dremel quickly notched out a space so I could mount it the height I wanted. I cant find the power cord so I will have to buy one tommorrow to power it up. It took about 3 hours for disassembly and reassembly. I like the clean look of not seeing wires.

I like how you ran the coax for the whips, clean!

I just sold my Galaxy last year, it had some work to it and it would talk. I think you just motivated me to install a radio in this one. Thanks! As if the to do list wasn't long enough for the truck...

i just hope the coax doesnt snap from the door movement. or how long it will last.

Just curious, Mike? Are your whips 8 feet apart? I really like the look as well, but I've always heard they need to be 8 feet apart.

cobra 29wxnwst, the coax is run right along the factory harness. Im shure it will be fine.

uh mike, they are both are on the mirrors. so it aint 8 ft.

Il have to check. I've never had a problem with any truck I've done this too. even a ranger I had.
