Auto lights

My automatic headlights come on with no trouble at all. Problem is they wont turn off. It seemed like the past year or so they stayed on longer and longer after the truck was shut off. What could be wrong? 03 250 if that helps. Oh, and it has 05 headlights in it if that changes anything. Thanks.

Do you have a hat or any papers sitting over the sensor? I've done that before and so have a few of my friends haha. I'm not sure where it is on the 03's but on my 05 it is right in the center of the dash real close to the windshield.

All that would do is turn the lights on prematurely. My problem is after the truck is shut off and the key taken out, the lights stay on.

Sorry about that. I guess I should have read your post better haha. I know on the 05-07 trucks they have an option to delay headlights turning off when they are on auto after you turn the truck off...I take it 03's don't have any option for that?

Look in your owners manual, there is a way to change the time it takes to turn off, it is programmable.
