2005 F-250 Radio compatibilty

I bought a 2005 F-250 with no radio at all in it. I have no idea what radio was in the truck before i bought it. Will any radio option as long as its for that specific year (AM/FM, CD, 6 CD, etc.) fit in this truck and fit the stock ford wiring harness? Thanks

There are some newer radios from '08-'10 radios that need to be programmed to match your truck.

So any 05-07 (AM/FM, 6 CD, Single CD, CD cassette, etc) will plug straight into my truck and work? I am just trying to get this straight before i spend a couple hundred bucks on a radio and it dont work. Thanks for the help.

Just get a aftermarket, you should be able to find a cheap 05-07 radio for about $50

Will '08-'10 CD players work in the 2005 trucks?

04-08 f150 radio's will work as well. might have to mod the bracket just a bit, took me like 10 extra minutes on my install.

So if I change from my single cd to a 6 cd in my '06 will the steering wheel controls work? And how about of I put in a radio from an '08-10? Can't lose my steering wheel controls, I loves them!

Has to be a radio capable of using steering wheel controls or it will not work. You can use aftermarket radois as long as you use the adapter for the radio controls like I did on my excursion.
