GPS.something cool to checkout !

If you have a Garmin or Magellan GPS,the data cable, and Google Earth plus (very cheap membership and download) you can feed your GPS tracks and routes onto a Satellite ground view instead of just a map. I have not tried this yet but you can also do it realtime ,as in a laptop in your truck.Using my cheap little Walmart Etrek, I am able to display ""where I went " in very high resolution, even out onto the bay! ( I have been too cheap to pay 150 bucks for the detailed map program from Garmin)
The next step will be for me to try loading points of interest using POI loader for those places not included on the Garmin generic map, like favorite speed traps of kent county state troopers, the spot where that 40 pound rock fish got away,(hey if its documented it has to be true) or that unlit buoy out on the bay!
Fun toys!

Well, i hope your GPS format is supported..for now its the two aformentioned.
Google Earth plus requires a decent video card..but not an outrageous one.Mine works well on the onboard Intel video graphics card.
