Question Future owner HELP!!!!

Hi I'm new to the forum and new to 6.0 PSD. I am looking at getting a 2005 F-250 Lariat Super Crew Cab with 106k miles on it for around $19,000. Can you guys tell me if this is a fair deal. Also with this amount of miles am i looking at major problems. I plan on doing a full EGR delete kit and head studs right away if i get the truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am located in central Florida and when I was looking at buying a truck I found a bunch with 110,000 to 130,000 miles at a price anywhere from $15,500 to $18,000....all '05s. Locations plays a big role in price. The truck I ended up buying is an '05 with 98,000 miles and got it for $17,500. I just had to do the right front ball joint on mine, other than that no problems. The biggest problems you might have are the EGR and oil cooler. More experienced owners can elaborate on other problems better than I can.

But just because I have found better deals around me doesn't mean that truck isn't a good deal. Just do some research. It took me about two or three months to find the truck and deal I wanted.

I got the truck in my sig for 21k...06 fully loaded with power rear slider, sunroof, lariat ed and fx4 suspension, has touch screen nav/cd/dvd player, 15" drop down tv in the back seat, 2 10" subs and 2 amps (1 for subs and 1 for mids/highs), already lifted 6" with 20's and some 37" toyos....had 99k when I bought it. 2 owner truck and I found it on craigslist.

If you are patient you will find what you are looking for.

Whatever you get make sure you get an OASIS report so you know the history of the truck up till the 100k mark. They are free from the dealer. Usually works best to go in on a slow day and give them the VIN# of the truck you are looking at...There are also some Techs on here that can help ya out.

Good luck

CraigsPal is Platinum. Just plug in what you want and the cities want to look in. Leave it running on a PC at home and it will email you as it finds items.

If you use an Android pda then Craigsnotification is the App to use on that.
