Little help 2004 Stock Radio Removal

Where can I get the tool to remove the stock 6 disc cd/radio from my truck?

why do you want to pull it? to install a aftermarket one? if thats the case you will need to pull the dash anyway. i would pull it either way, its just clips, just pull. takes like 2 min to remove.

And a bit of finesse to get it past the shifter on the column. I tilted the steering wheel all the way down, pressed the brake, and shifted down to L1 in order for it to clear.

You can get the tool at Walmart... and thers no need to pull the dash to put in an aftermarket stereo.

i dont know about you guys but my stockers mnt bracket was screwed into the sides of the radio and so i would have to say it all needs to com out to get to the 4 mounting bolts

only if you are using the sleeve from a single din like in your 7.3 but i dont see how with the dbl din and how the cage mnts

In the 05 ups, YES you have to remove the dash, in an 04, just got to walmart and they sell DIN radio removal tools, they are little U-shaped metals pieces you stick into the holes on the face of the radio, apply pressure outward, and pull. boom, radio out!

a wire hanger bent in a U shape works just fine.. u spread them apart once they are in to get it to release
