Head unit with gauge display??
I've been thinking about getting one of those fancy head units with the navigation, DVD and all the bells and whistles. But i was wondering if anyone has heard of a head unit like that that would show information from the truck, like like an insight or the livewire that plugs into the OBDII. i haven't seen anything like that but havent really looked around much so if anyone has seen anything like that id appreciate it.

To my knowledge there arent any head units that work like those do. I think it would be really cool, but not enough of a market, since they mass produce the headunits to work in any double din. Would be really cool. For just a nice indash, I would check out kenwood. They make the best...and most expensive. Alpines are real nice as well.

it would be pretty cool to have that laptop affect on the head unit.
i dont think you will find one that gives you much more than mph (gps) |

You will actually have more room in your truck than I do in mine, in the crew cabs you have to put them behind the seat (not much room) since there is no room under the seat. in your truck you can get them under your rear bench. Had a friend with 2 10" Kicker comp VR's in a sealed box and i think it was 400watts and it sounded real nice. My little brother replaced the backseat in his 94 F150 with a dual snail ported sub box with 2 12" Kicker comp VR's and has 750watts, sounds INSANE! |

My AVIC Z3 does, Vehicle Performance: Speed, Lateral G Force, Acceleration, Slope Angle, Angular Velocity, Battery Voltage.
I mainly use it to see what my actual speed is (bigger tires) since its GPS driven. |
