On my 6-Disc OEM Stereo head unit...there is a Aux button. WHAT is that for? I pulled the radio and only see a large rectangular plug, but nothing like a stereo jack for ipod or anything. So what is the Aux button for?

Can you tell me how to pull the radio without taking the dash off or with the U hook tool? Sorry for the hijack. Just wondering!

no problem, you have to pull the front part of the dash off. Wheel chok the wheel, tilt the steering wheel down and drop the tree down into 1st gear...the dash face cover is just attached by spring clips. Grab the left side by the door and tug, it will pop loose. Unplug all the gizmos and you can then access the stereo. 4-bolts and it comes off

You need to get an adapter like this to plug into the back of your stereo, then you can use the AUX button: FRD04-AUX 2004-2010 Ford CAN-Bus Auxiliary Input Converter |

I used a PIE box for mine and it worked great, but I swapped out the stocker for a pioneer unit so i could sell you mine.

thanks for the replies...a friend of mine just let me borrow his GRIFFIN - iTrip Auto FM Transmitter and it actually works pretty good. i think i will try this route....it is only used when my daughter is in the truck with me, i dont listen to much music as my commute is only 3 miles round trip to work....not much time for music. Thanks for the help, i truly appreciate it.
