I don't know about the horn but my 250 worker had a busted clock spring and the key dinger would ding all the time even with the keys out of the ignition. I didn't have any problems with the horn though. Hope this helps.

Sounds like the clock spring to me. I had one go out and Horn or cruise would not work and air bag light was on. Clock spring is the one thing in common with all. good luck.

I ordered a clockspring. I have no light for airbag ie airbag still appears operational. Is the clockspring still suspect???

I had the same problem with mine...turned out to be the horn contact button and it fried my horns. Cruise was inop too. Dealer told me that I had to replace the whole airbag assy because the horn contact is part of it....$735. I had them replace the horns, plugged the fuse back in and never had another problem. I found that if you go into a carwash and the high-pressure spray comes up from underneath, water gets into the horns and shorts them out, if you use the horn right after.

Good luck.

In my experience repairing total loss vehicles....if the clock spring is bad the airbag light will be on. Does the airbag light self test correctly? (turn key on and it either blinks 7 times and goes out or stays on for a few seconds and goes out).
