Question Blower Motor stays Onnnnnnnnn

06" SD F350
Defrost Fan stays on high when A/c turned off. and when the key is full forward ready for start.??????????
When eng running a/c control fan speed takes over and adjusts as set high to low. Called the Stealer..........they said that it was a "bower control module" ? called the stealer for a parts price and they could not identify the correct part out of 2. one is $70 bucks the other $293...
I'm confident I can pull the dash to replace it. I just don't want to get the wrong part. No return on electronics
Any fimiliarities or suggestions
Thanks yall

im pretty skeptical of thier diagnosis......the "blower controll module" is basically just a "blower motor resitor" for electronic automatic temp controll equipped vehicles....9 times out of then when that failes...the blower motor will ONLY work on high, but functions normally in the high position and then just doesnt function in all other positions....

i personally have never actually seen this one...but there isnt much it could really be....it would almost have to be in the switch or wiring im thinking right off the top of my head.....but maybe one of the other ford techs will chime in and have seen this before...

Had an 05 5.4 liter with auto climate control come into shop with same problem few months back. I remember it was not that expensive, but cant remember what solution was, think it was resistor. I will check our old workorders tomorrow if you dont find a solution.
