climate control gone bad?

My buddy called yesterday and told me his climate control went out in his 05 f-350. Its the one that has the digital screen he said it just went blank and it wont blow hot or cold. He said he checked the relay and switched it with another one and still nothing. Has anyone had the happen before?
I will try to get a little more info from him today. He thinks its a little to cold to be driving it around right now.

Tell him to turn his headlights on and off a couple of times. Sounds totally idiotic and I'd never believed it until mine did it the first time. I think I actually muttered "sob I dont believe it". No clue why it works but it does.

And if the light thing works then there is something wrong with the unit. Mine did that, luckily it was still under warranty when it did.

Send a message via Yahoo to Dave
The lights thing works. Also press the EXT temp button most of the time that works as well.

Check the connector on the back of the control unit. Make sure its plugged in tight.

That was the problem with mine
