How can I get the TBC fault to go away?

I recently put an after market trailer brake controller on my truck account I was not getting a full 12 volts from the integrated controller.

When I cut the wires off the integrated controller it of course shows in the display "TBC Fault", even with the new controller wired up.

Everything works fine but I cannot get the fault to go away. I tried removing all the fuses that would have to do with it but to no avail. Any held would be greatly appreciated. I would really like to be able to see my mileage again.
