Dome Light Wire

Hi all, I am trying and failing at wiring up the courtesy lights for my recon big rig ice, problem is im looking for the dome light wire. Its a 2005. In the passenger kick pannel, there are two black and blue wires, I have tried both of them and nothing. Now im thinking of wiring them to the dimmer switch on the dash, good idea? What color would the wire be though, anyone know?

Any hints would be awesome!

Thanks!

Nevermind, I got it! Took the 3rd brake light out and looked at the wires, heading towards teh drivers side. So I took the kick panel off over there and in the bundle of wires was the black with blue stripe i was looking for! I will post pictures of it later! I cant believe how bright the white LEDs are, its awesome!

What are these big rig ice lights? Why would you only wire them up to the dome light?

They are sick, Amber running lights, amber turn signals and white leds that light up when the dome is on, so when you open the doors, adds more of a use to the running lights. Ill get pics up tomorrow of all them.

Can't wait to see your results.
Today I installed some amber running lights under the doors. Now I'm trying to figure out which wires to tap into.....

Hey, don't know if you figured it out yet but I'd thought I'd help.

Running lights are a brown wire, easiest way is to run the wire up wheel well to your lights and tap into the parking brown wire and the turn signal of you wanted. For my dome lights I went through the hole the antenna cable goes accross under the dash and under the driverside door sill, a bunch of wires run there, tapped into the only black with blue stripe wire.

Hope this helps if you haven't already gotten it
