brake controller question
just towed my trailer home for the first time after hooking up my brake controller (tenkonsha voyager). it didn't have any power to the controller, but all the trailer lights worked fine.
i think i know all the fuzes to check (101 is there, have to check to make sure its good), and i'm going to get out my test light and test the socket. is there any other suggestions? i hooked up the controller using a wiring harness and hooked the "like" colored wires together (red to red, etc). is that correct or is that something i should look at as well. thanks in advance for the help. |

update for the next guy
replaced the socket since the bottom half of the door was broke off and thought perhaps is shorted out. nope it must have been fine because the connections all tested fine with the test light. so moved on to the next easiest thing, a fuze. pulled 101 out and didnt look bad but tested with test light and it was bad. moral of the story, use a test light on your fuzes instead of a visual inspection. |
