Does it shut off when you open the door? That's the way my 06 is but if you open the door it shuts off immediatly.

No, thats what I mean it stays on for long after the door is closed locked and key removed from the ignition

Might be a problem with the switch in the door. Does your dome light come on when you open the door? Maybe try opening the passenger door instead and see if the radio turns off then.

Still the same problem?

So you shut down, remove your key, open your door, get out, close your door, lock it, and the radio is still playing?

I have a similar problem. My radio shuts off when I open my door, but when I use my Viper turbo timer, the radio comes back on about 10 seconds after I take out the key. I'm not sure it ever turns off. I look forward to see what you find out.

I just bought an 04 the other night, never owned a ford, I thought this was normal. I am having the same problem, radio stays on, window and door lock switches illuminate, no dome light, no door buzzer. I will look at the door open switch when I get time.

Ford dealer replaced my instrument cluster when they took the truck in on trade, I did not ask why they replaced it. They ended up reprogramming the instrument cluster to get rid of the problem, everything works as intended, even the number 5 injector that failed on me yesterday morning on my way to work.
