Red face Remote start suggestions???

I just bought an '04 6.0 EX and want to have installed a good remote start 2 way. Rather than do days of research I thought best to ask those who already know. What should I look for (or look out for) in a remote? Anything special for a diesel? I said "to have installed" because I thought this might be too complicated for a diy effort, or is it??? You guys' help much appreciated. ron

I bought a nice one for my gf over the winter and paid good money for it. Thought I could do it myself. Got it home and almost cried. Then I couldn't find anyone to even wire the darn thing up because they want to have it purchased from them... I couldn't find anyone here locally to do it. Money wasted...

best bet is to go to a local shop, tell them what you're looking for and ask what is a good unit. For the most part they will try and help, no sence in them selling you junk because they have to install it and they have to fix it if it messes up. You will need a higher end one anyways because of the diesel, most that have the diesel function are more money anyways.

With that said, I too would like some input on good ones to get...

Would be nice to have a little background info before walking into a shop looking for one.
