stock speaker size? time to upgrade

does anyone know the stock speaker size (front and rear) for a 06 f-250 supercab. and how is the depth? is there lots or room? can i go with whatever i want or do i need to measure how deep it is and shop around?

5x7, they are plenty deep for whatever speaker you want.

my 03 has 6x8 door speakers front and rear. not sure if it changes for the newer trucks just check out crutchfields website they will be able to tell u for sure.

6x8 is fords stupid was of making the stereo confusing for people. 5x7 fits the same size opening as a 6x8. Look for 5x7 if you search for 6x8s your choices will be more limited.

Check out Car Audio Stereo - Car Subwoofers - Car Amplifiers and Speakers they generally have better prices than crutchfield, sometimes drastically better. They also have a much broader selection of brands. Alot of them are nicer than some of the stuff crutchfield offers, at a better price.

from crutchfield, alpine makes a 5x7 that fits the 6x8 opening and sounds great 2 way.
