Remote Start Tach Wire on 2006
Hi Guys,
I need your help on this problem. I have a 2006 F-350 CC and I have installed a Black Widow BW-Z5 alamr/remote starter combo. Everything is installed and working great except for the remote start. I turn it on and the engine starts for 7 to 10 seconds and then shuts off. It then restarts again and then stops. It does this 3 times and then gives up. I connected the alarms tach wire to the green/white wire up under the brake release that is wrapped in the white tape. I can read AC voltage from the wire on my meter when I step on the pedal so I am 99.99999% positive that this is the right wire. So for a test I started it remotely and then pressed on the pedal until I got up to 2300 to 2500 RPM and the alram did not cut off until I let my foot off. Has anyone ran in a weak tack signal? Is there any other place to grab this wire from? Thanks Aceal |

2006 Ford F350 Tachometer Notes: On diesel vehicles the tach wire is lt. green/white in a 5 wire harness held up with white tape behind the parking brake release. The tach wire on these vehicles may generate an unclean signal. Options maybe to set the threshold jumper to “on/low“ when programming tach in some Directed remote systems or use part number 454T tach signal generator. Another option is to go directly to a fuel injector wire. |
