alarm/radio issue

Ok guys here is my problem
In my truck like most of yours i am sure the radio stays on when you turn the key off untill you open the door. Well...... I just had my Viper 560XV installed and it has the turbo timer feature so i figured i would use it to see how i like it and it worked like a charm. However (good thing i went back outside) when using the turbo timer the radio stays on cause duh the door didnt open. Is there anyway to remove this feature on the radio???

The radio is supposed to go off after about 10 minutes if the door doesn't get opened before then (when the key is off or removed)

Let me know if that was the problem. I had a 01 Lightning that I had a remote start put on and after that happened the radio would stay on and run the battery down.

I want to get a remote start put on my 05 F350 and want to know if there are any problems with getting one installed.

You need to get the remote starter wired/programmed to pulse the driver door pin wire on shut down.

My 2000 Lightning's radio never stayed on when the key was shut off so i dont know about that but yes so far the radio in the PSD shuts off after a few min when using the turbo timer feature with the alarm.

Just had a Viper 560XV installed alarm/starter. I have to go back to the shop and have the WTS shortened a little cause it waits for the full cycle to go before it tries to start and my truck likes to start shortly after the light goes out. Also have to have the crank time lengthened a by a couple of cranks cause when its cold it doesnt want to start. It will crank but it doesnt hold the cranking long enough to catch

Remote Start

I have key fobs and keyless entry. Can I upgrade to remote start on my 2006 powerstroke through the dealer and still use my factory set up ? Is there a delay built into the start command ? Thanks, Rick

There is a delay on startup for diesels. The remote starter will tie into your factory keyless. You won't use your fobs you'll get new ones.(factory fobs will still work for keyless).
