Cruise Control - Reverse sensor problem

Hello Sirs,

Patrick here from VA. I recently purchased my 2nd 05 Excursion 4WD diesel, 6.0:

a. While on cruise control and cruising up a hill, the girls sputters like the cruise control and engine are not talking. Does not happen with system off. Speed was around 70mph both times.

b. While in park, reverse sensor light can be turned on/off, also while in drive. It automatically illuminated the off light when I go to reverse or when I need it.

Patrick

Reverse Sensor

mine just went it is the sensor unit. is 200.00 bucks, exact same symtoms. I think it shuts off automatically when you put it in reverse so a guy will notice its off so you dont back into anything.

Reverse Sensor

So it is not the neutral switch that I just bought? Is this a dealer part?
