Remote start install?

Thinknig bout getting remote start for my truck. Called local shop they want $90 for the avital 4103 system, and $210 to install it. It seems kinda crazy. Never done and alarm but have done tons or audio systems. How hard are they really to install?

They are not that hard but are time consuming that is why the cost is up there. What year truck I might be able to list the wires yoiu need to use for remote start. One other think you may want to check is that the remote start has a wait timer instead of using the wait to start light as it is an issue on the powerstrokes. But if you can make good connections and have time you should have no problem.
