Transmission 1st gear issue

Been searching the threads but cant find my problem. When starting out from a stop in 1st gear there is a thunk like sound. Sort of like a sudden high pressure type of thing. It is only in first gear and and it is not all the time. Almost always from a stop but not when rolling. If you put the shifter in 2nd gear it will not do it when starting out. Tranny fluid is not burnt, does not smell and is a normal red color. Could this be a throttle body or solenoid issue? Close to going to the transmission shop but if it is a simple fix I would do it myself. Truck is a 04 f250.
