Transmission quit.

I have an '06 F350 and the transmission has quit on me. It was going up a hill and there was a loud a pop and then it just started rolling back down the hill. I had it towed back to my place and on flat ground it will barely creep forward and you have to get the RPM's up. Does this sound like a torque converter or inside the transmission?

I would guess in the tranny maybe intermediate shaft? I would think if you broke the stator in the converter it would just be really sluggish to accelerate. I'.m curious what you found tho.
