tranny questions and p0720 code

other nite was riding down a backroad and all of a sudden truck felt like it went strait to neutral from drive. Jus would rev up and not move. No cel or anything Decided to take of the sct and went to stock. Turned on truck went to drive and took off fine. Got by the house and had to stop at a stop sign and wen I accelerated at stop sign to take off felt like truck was in neutral again. Turned off truck re started and put in drive and took off. Got home put my tuner back on and went for a drive and did fine for 10 mins of driving and soon as I pulled ion driveway truck dies and wont even turn over. Temp gauge on transmission showed in red. pulled truck to house unhooked batteries for the night come bak in morning hook everything up and truck is dead. Put charger on it and finally get it started and put in drive and reverse r 123 and truck acts as its in park or neutral. Revs up and wont move. Getting a tow haul flashing on the dash and ran codes with sct and getting a p0720. Took tuner bak off and still no movement in any gears. Fluid level is fine and doesn't smell awful. Im stumped on wat to do or where to begin.
