Trans won't upshift in drive

Guys here's the quick story...

Bought an 04 6.0 4x4 work truck with a blown tranny to flip. The transmission was stuck in forward regardless of what it was shifted into....really weird but the shifter was working fine and it would still shift through all the gears. I got it cheap and bought a low mileage transmission off of craigslist that appears to have good fluid etc....Before I pulled the transmission I got all sorts of random codes for throttle pedal and a few more things. I found a rats nest of wires chewed through and fixed them all. I had a tow/haul light flashing after the swap and it would go into limp mode. I kept getting a code for the output speed sensor. I worked on the connection for a while and think I fixed it. It will drive over 10 miles an hour and not go into limp mode and no code for output speed sensor. It however will not upshift at all in drive. I can manually shift into 1 2 3 and D will go into 4th.

Ok, First mistake I have made is quickly googled transmission fluid for it and bought mercon v when I went in the store... That obviously wasn't the right choice. I need to change this out but I don't know that in 4 miles of driving I could have damaged anything I have an AE scan tool and have no codes for anything. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
