Slipping after fluid change

I changed the fluid and external filter on my 06 250 with 36000 on the clock. Just pulled the plug and put in about 9 qts. of Mercon SP. Now every once and awhile it slips when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd. It doesn't do it a lot. It has 40000 on it now and it's done it maybe 5 times.

Has anyone else had a problem like this?

The reason I ask is because a friend of mine just had the dealer change the fluid and filter on his 99 250 with about 100k. Now sometimes when he comes up to a light or stop sign it won't go forward. It will move in reverse. He said to get it going he put it down in first, revved it to the moon and it started creeping forward, then it took off and was fine.

My truck is stock and his has an intake and exhaust, so were not putting stupid amount of power through these trannies.

I had the same problem before I had the fluid changed, took it to the dealer and had it reflashed. I guess that was all it needed. That was 22,000 miles ago and it still shifts great.

trans

Hi,this whisky6,i see some people are having problems when they change
their trans. fluid,my psd has 276,000miles on it and changed fluid once and
i think with the 240degree temps. i saw i on my gauge i may need a flush to go along with servicing the trans. i.e. changing fluids, filter etc.
Does anyone have cost of rebuilding this trans. if just basic things that need
to replaced can not get straight answer as i would think there certain things
that go wrong with these trans. that is normal wear&tear,thank,s,whisky6

Mine is doing it too, almost exact same mileage. at 36000 i drained the fluid, dropped the pan and changed the internal filter, changed the external filter, and put about 9qts of mercon SP in there. Now on the 2-3 shift it hangs just for a split second. Im not sure whats up, maybe ill have my dealer reflash the computer?

I also have this same, just had the trans flushed at the dealer, 41000 miles and this has happened 3 times so far. once it would not shift out of 2nd, finally got it to shift and it revved to almost 4k then slammed into gear. I have re programmed with the SCT dj tune, and only had the above problem once again. anyone know what is causing this????
