Tyrannies slips towing

I just got my 06f250 sd 6.0 hooked my camper 28ft went for test ride pulled great then sounded like a exter fan turn on then trans felt like it was slopping then the motor over heated pulled over temp gauge went down drove home it was in tow haul when slipping took out tow haul and it stopped goes in and out I'm new to all of this I read that that 6.0 has issues and know much about them it has 17700 on it drives and shifts find on its own to drive it without the trailer on you would never know it does anything wrong. That's jim

Jim,

Get a monitor on it. What it sounds like was you got your temps up and the clutch fan kicked in and the transmission shifted back to 5th gear due to the load you had placed on the truck. You need to provide a lot more parameters to know if it is a truck issue or operator induced. Your truck is a baby, but it is 8 years old with very low miles.

Report back with trailer weight, what speed you were going and any special conditions (OAT grade), what your EOT and ECT were, boost and engine load. First off, I would read the manual where it gives you guidance on towing.

Please learn where the period (.) & comma(,) are.

On topic, check for trans codes and any other dtc's.

17k miles?
