Truck takes a while to go into gear help...

Hey guys when i purchased my 03 f250 it had just had the tranny rebuilt and has a year warrenty on it. Well everything was good but it has been giving me trouble from time to time and its out of its warrenty. First thing it did was the other day i jumped in and put it in reverse and it would not go into the gear, or any other gear for that matter. The rpms changed like it was going to but it wouldent go. So after trying to restart it and do a few other things i got pissed and revved it up a little and it slammed into gear. That was a couple of weeks ago and it has been doing fine ever since but now it seems like it takes it a few seconds longer then normal to go into gear. Is there anything i can do to help it out. Filter and fluid were just changed about a month before it started doing this. Thanks
