5R110 same in truck and van?

Quick question can't find answer anywhere. Is the 5r110 the same in say an E450 as it is in the superduty? Torque convertor and all? Difference between ones from gas to Diesel engines too? Thanks

the 5r110's are pretty universal for the 6.0's they routed the cooler lines different on vans and IIRC they had a fuky parking brake or something on the tail.
But the gasers have a tiny bit different bolt pattern and different internals.
As far as looking for a replacement, the tail housings and output shafts swap out from the rear, so no gutting to convert a 2wd to 4wd.

The trans is the same behind the 6.4 also... The 6.4 just has two more tq converter bolts and the guts are stronger. You probably would have more reposnses in the general 6.0 discussion compared to the transient problem are. Are you asking because you can get a e-series 5r110 for cheap?
