Got a code - P1744

I've gotton this code about 30 times and wondering what it is and what I should do besides take it to the Dealer. Code is P1744.

lol that's why I said take it to a dealer with a tranny technician. the guy working on it obviously shouldn't be, imo. I've been following your dilemma.

the pcm picked up an excessive amount of tcc slippage during normal vehicle operation.

tcc slippage/erratic or no torque-converter clutch operation

I found this on the net. This is the reason your getting the code. After reading this info I suggest you go to a trans shop. Have the trans shop do a diagnostic check on your transmission.

Keep voting for that. Because it would cost more then a solid rebuilt trans if it is needed.
