Strange sound from 2nd to 3rd shift.....

For a while now I've been noticing a bump or thud when my truck shifts from 2 to 3. Doesn't effect the performance of the truck and doesn't do it on any other shift. Also the sound seems to be more from the rear of the truck. Looking for some ideas on what might be causing this.

Did you solve this issue? Has it gotten worse?

I first had this only when towing, now I'm noticing it during daily driving. I thought it could be driveshaft related and maybe not tranny. I put in a new rear driveshaft carrier bearing today, didn't help. The u-joints didn't have play, but I may replace those next so I could rule out the driveshaft.
