PTO burning up after trans flush
2003 F-450 6.0L auto trans equipted with muncie PTO powering air compressor on tire service truck. One of my other locations serviced the transmission (flushed) and about 3 days after the pto burned up. They Rebuilt it with ned disc's, plates, and springs. Sent it out and the next day it came back. They then replaced the hydraulic pump hooked to the pto but it still didnt work. When i recieved it i checked the entire hydraulic system for blockage's and replaced all check valves with new ones set to factory spec's. Still nothing. I finally pulled off the front section to the PTO and found the disc's burned again and found an extra spring in the pto.
Working with the tech department where we bought the truck they gave me another kit and i installed it. The truck worked fine for 4 days the quit again. Trans fluid level is good. Anyone here ever had a pto go bad after a trans flush? Need Help!

Check your relief valve on the pump to make sure it is working,to much pressure may be causing the clutches to slip. The plates in PTOs sometimes are concave so make sure they are all turned the same when you put it back together
