06 Delayed reverse and 1st engagement?

My 06 6.0 has developed a lazy delayed engagement of reverse and 1st gear. Ususally after it has set all night or for a extended period. Is there a certain solonid in the trans that can be acting up that can be repalced?I did just replace both trans filters and do a fluid swap/flush and everything looked normal in the pan and filters. Please help me out. This issue is very annoying and Id like to fix it asap.

Thanks....Jimmy

06 Delayed reverse and 1st engagement?

Fluid level is fine. Theres threads about changing solnoids and help/fixing the problem but havent exactly pin pointed the actual one people are changing.

Be gentle with it and start saving for which ever built tranny you want. This is exactly what mine did before I got a BTS trans.

sounds like it could potentially be a solenoid problem. a sticking PC-A (line pressure) solenoid will cause problems like this. the low reverse solenoid could also be an issue. its best to follow fords pinpoint tests.

If one solenoid is on its way out the rest are not far behind

06 Delayed reverse and 1st engagement?

Mines doing the same thing. Started this past Thursday. But it also started missing gears and staying in 3rd at 60 mph until its warmed up.

Replace solenoids for that gear, if problem persists, your clutch packs are probably shot.
