Rear end gear change questions

2003 6.0....studs, egr delete, idp custom tunes, 35's, 4 inch lift

I do ALOT of town driving with no trailer and freeway here and there. I might have a trailer 10 times a year, never over 10,000lb

Would changing my rear end to 3.55 help with mpgs? And would it be worth the money? Its mainly a family truck, and we go off-road a bit but not anything extreme.

The 3.73's it has now haul some serious butt when pedals to the floor so i don't see much a problem going to 3.55's but figured i ask to be sure.

I've done them on mustangs before is it the same processes basics, all had solding rears never indepentent suspensions.
