Unhappy Torqshift question

hey guys. i was just wondering something. if there was something wrong internally with the torqshift trannie, would the computer throw the cel? or at least a code? My trannie makes an occasional clunk going from 1-2gear and 2-3 gear. Any ideas? i have an 03 6.0 psd f-250. thanks for any help in advance!

It's probably the driveshaft splines because of the crappy lube that ford uses. It's a known "problem" and regreasing the splines with a good grade of grease will take care of it.

never thought of that. thats an idea. However only about six months ago, ford greased slip yoke and splines. in only seamed to help a little, and sure enough the clunk returned. it also does it if i let of the throttle while moving, does not matter what speed, and then punch it. I always get a clunk if i do that. i think that part is normal though i dont know.
