Torqshift update

Well I went to Ford today and they said my truck was done. It's been almost 2 weeks but they had more important vehicles to repair and I didn't really mind. Well I pick up my truck and go down the road and then limped it. I even got it on video. YouTube - Towhaul flash Well I drive it back over and show them the flashing and they scan it and get P1744. Well I park it in the back and talk with the guys. On my way out the service manager says sorry about that and says it will be fixed tomorrow. I told him its alright and I pointed to the problem. I pointed at the blue Ford oval on the side of the building.

Man you have alot of tranny problems. If it was me i would be looking at a different dealer, and maybe think about dumping the PPE tuner for an SCT

I wonder if your dealer tech is one of the ones selling the new tranny cooler on ebay instead of installing it on the truck. Repeat auto tranny failures are usually caused by incomplete cooler line flushing and/or not replacing the cooler itself. You can't successfully flush a cooler of all the trash that results from a major failure. Ford 5R110 units come with a new cooler and I have heard rumors of techs not installing them but rather selling them to pad their own pockets.

If the truck goes in for a replacement again, mark the tranny cooler to see if it gets replaced!

It gets replaced. The service manager hates my truck and makes sure everything goes right because my truck is a money pit to them. The thing that sucks is since I've had about 4 or 5 trannies and constant rechecks my truck is now "red flagged". The only way to get warranty work on the tranny is if a ford inspector comes out and approves it after evaluating it. And the other thing that sucks is that my programmer is in the truck but there going to take care of me and get the truck fixed.
