Clutch chatter or something else?

Ive got a ceramic and Kevlar south bend clutch in my 04. It makes a horrible screeching noise when I take off, like nails on a chalkboard. It is especially noticeable under a load. I know that slipping the clutch isn't ideal but there's times when it's the only option. Is this something I should be concerned about or is it just the nature of the beast?
