Trans cooler line removal from radiator

I have a 06 V-10 so I hope the transmissions and radiators are the same here, because i have looked everywhere and found nothing pertaining to my issue, so hopefully someone here will know.

The cooler line coming out of the radiator on the left side and going to the trans cooler in front of the rad, will not release. I've tried everything. I broke the plastic removal tool trying to get it out and have tried making metal tabs to push in there and nothing will release the line. This is a plow truck so there was a fair amount of rust on the line so I'm assuming the spring mech is rusted. I've shot it with PB blaster and nothing. I need this truck for work today so I'm hoping someone can post a solution. I have seen that ford makes a metal release tool, but none of my local dealers have it and I'm in a pinch.

Mine just had a plastic retainer clip and the nut that threaded into the radiator I just used a crescent wrench to thread them out. Had the lines off in about 5 mins.
