04 f250 wot shift problem
Had no problems ,until programmed performance tune from sct sf3 tuner, then truck started out by just when it was cold it would take awhile to shift into reverse or drive, but it would lock right in when it did.tryed switching to firmer shifts ,and lock in 123,it would go to shift into 3rd and act like a stick shift, with the jerky shift, after awhile it started the deal where if you floored it wide open throttle it seemed to go into neutral at about 55 60 mph,so I switched it back shut off the firm shift and lock in 123 ,shifts smoother, but floored it on the highway ,(wot),and it seemed to have shifted into neutral again, slowed down and was right back in gear.also the open air intake makes some different noises from before ,from when you hit it and let off........6.0 power stroke 8 inch lift 17 rims and 37 tires

Read a few other forums ,one said to change the shift pressure to 10% in all the gears except 3-5 at 15%, just got done programming it ,also the tranny was switched to 4.30 gears when I got the truck, didn't have a tune on it when I got it,and not sure if there's something on the sct sf3 you have to program to the gear ratio?any help here new to deisel ford trucks ,always had the v10s.

I have an SCT Livewire programmer and I just run custom tunes. I'm not really a big fan of the preinstalled SCT tunes on there, I feel the trans doesn't shift as well as the custom tunes I have. Also on the livewire you can change the gear ratio in the parameters, so I'd imagine on your tune you would be able to select your gear ratio in there somewhere.

The only thing it has is axle ratio, didn't find anything for gear ratio, also I got a good deal on ebay for the programmer,it came with three custom tunes, have tryed after I put the performance tune on it to switch it to extreme street, but it tells me it's not compatible, guy before had the same truck,so idk,and I told him the first day I used it ,it woke the 6.0 up,lol, and he said you must have used the custom tunes,so idk,and thank you!
