occasional stuck in second feeling??

Ok need some help! 2007 with 117,000 miles. Running extreme street. Trans is acting funny. After a long drive say 200 miles if I come to a complete stop it does not want to shift down into first. It feels like its stuck in second. Kits down and blows black smoke. But if you drive it around town making it run through all the gears it seems to do just fine. I know I caused this because I miss noted my last transmission service and was 15,000 over when I did the pan and filter swap to an 08 style. I have tried returning to stock and it still does it. I don't know much about these trans. I also changed out the direct engage solinoid whith the pan trying to fix the problem. But it didnt help. Thanks
