simple question on tranny filter

Changed my canister filter out today and now Im sitting here second guessing myself...here goes the question-when re-assembling the filter set up from the motor down it goes, filter, black plastic ring(or spacer)and the spring then the housing? The filter slipped outta my hand and fell to the ground so I didnt get a great idea of what was in what order. I put it back like I assumed it would go but.........
